Fireworks are ofen used when a holiday or special event occurs. With the fourth of July coming up next week SERVPRO of West Greenville County wants to share a few tips to make sure you are staying safe. Fireworks start around 18,500 fires per year, whether it be a structure fire, vehicle fire, or outside fire.

- Do not wear loose clothing while using fireworks.
- Never light fireworks indoors or near dry grass.
- Point fireworks away from people and homes.
- Stand several feet away from lit fireworks.
- Have a hose or bucket of water nearby.
- Obey all local laws regarding the use of fireworks.
