9/11/2017 (Permalink)
Hurricane Irma is one of the most intense atlantic hurricanes in history. It is also one of the most intense hurricanes to hit the United States since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Hurricane Irma quickly worked its' way up to a category 5 hurricane. While it was at its' highest category it hit Saint Martin, the Virgin Islands, Barbuda, Anguilla, and many more atlantic islands.
Commercial Buildings Destroyed
On top of multiple homes, multiple commercial buildings like hotels, restaurants and bars, shops, and even airports were destroyed by this hurricane. Buildings have been submerged in water, trees have fallen on roofs, windows have been blown out, and many of the islands are over 90% destroyed.
