Call the Professionals First!!

This customer in Simpsonville, South Carolina called us at SERVPRO of West Greenville County when their dishwasher sprung a leak. They called stating that there was a significant amount of water and informed us that a plumber had already been out to address the issue. This is an important thing to note as our production crew begin work once the cause of loss has been fixed. This allows for a safe work environment and helps prevent more damages as the mitigation work begins. 

When our production crew arrived, the customer's had already begun to remove the affected materials, knowing that they were saturated beyond salvage. This allowed for our production crew to come right in, test the remaining materials for moisture and begin work. Our team determined that removal of the cabinets and countertops was necessary to properly mitigate, as can be seen in the photos above.

These customer's did everything right, first calling a professional to fix the cause of loss, and then calling the professionals (SERVPRO of West Greenville County) to mitigate the damages.
